During my afternoon break, I went to my coworker’s office so we could talk, as we sometimes do. While there, she handed me this book to read because the Author (whom I went to high school with) spoke at one of her support group meetings.
Earlier that day, I was faced with a moment in time where I came face to face with the dark reality that something I was believing God for may not happen the way I thought.
Little did I know that a book meant to help guide grieving parents would also help develop hope, understanding and purpose in me during my process as well.
The turning point for me, while reading the book came as I neared page 72. Not only was it a turning point for the Author, but it was a turning point for me as well.
Leading up to that page, I, like the Author was thinking “why”? As I turned the page, that’s when I knew that God not only was with me during the earlier discovery, He also provided the reading material that would confirm that He will never leave or forsake me no matter how things turn out.
Needless to say, since reading the book, I’ve had ample other opportunities to trust God. Trusting God is not a one and done event. It’s an every day lifestyle that can bring peace and joy as you navigate what you are believing God for and what you are actually experiencing in life.
