Finances

Finances

Where do I begin? Ok, I can start with this. I’ve been delivered from debt TWO times before this time…but this time was different. This time, I knew that once I got out of debt, being in debt again could no longer be an option for my life; I was never going to have to cross that Bridge again. That meant that I needed to know HOW to never get back in debt again. That meant that I had to educate myself about Finances. I read books, watched videos and talked to people who were debt free.

Mind you, of the people around me, I couldn’t tell who was in debt or debt free. But God placed me in environments with people who were debt free AND willing to talk about their Journey. These people looked like and sounded just like me; growing up not being taught about financial literacy. They’ve faced some of the same issues that I’ve faced and have come out on top. I took notice and notes. You can read about the Bridge I had to cross on my Journey here: https://m924life.blogspot.com/2017/05/journey-to-debt-freedom.html.

This time around, I not only had the information needed for a debt free lifestyle, I apply this information daily and am seeing the benefits of being consistent in my financial management. Each time I saw the debt get smaller and smaller and my mindset about money grow bigger and bigger, it motivated me to continue until all the debt was gone. I celebrated (nothing big but something meaningful or useful to me) when I reached each milestone that I set for myself along the way to help keep me encouraged so that I would not give up.

Now, I’m challenging you to look at your Finances and determine if you can do a little better with your financial legacy. Are you in debt? Do you have enough to live on each day? Are you living in the Overflow of sound financial management? Whatever stage you are in now, purpose to go even further than that. I promise you, there is more available for you to help Bridge the gap in elevating your mindset while helping other’s who are right where you are now or are where you started from.

#WordPrompt

“Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others.”
