Many people have a “How I got out” testimony. I’m talking about a testimony that could rival the three Hebrew boys in Daniel Chapter 3. I have an awesome “How I got out of Debt testimony”. But I’m not talking about me right now. Since it’s just you and me here, tell me really, how did YOU get out? God shouldn’t have to convince you in your next trial that He’s with you if He was in your last trial with you.
I’m sure you, like the Hebrew boys, went through whatever fiery trial you had to go through and God safely brought you out on the other side. But what happened to your partnership with Him when the next trial came your way? Did you remember that God is more than able and can deliver you again or did you forget and thought to yourself “how am I gonna make it through this time?”
Now that you’ve read Daniel Chapter 3 – or already know the story of the three Hebrew boys, I need you to picture their response the next time they were faced with a fiery trial. Got it? Because I do. I’m pretty sure they stood flat footed and told that trial “the same way God delivered us from the fiery furnace, we know He will deliver us from you!” Now picture how you handled (or are handling) your next trial. What’s the difference? Is God with you or not?
The way and what you See in your next trial says a lot about how you got out of your last trial. Did you come out all by yourself or was God really with you? If God was with you then, surely He is with you now. Any time someone asked me about my debt free journey, I always pointed them to the place where I realized that God was with me. So any time a negative situation arose against me trying to make me think I had to handle it alone, I reminded myself that I was not alone: God was with me and with His help, I would get out. So again I ask you, “ how did you get out?”
This was a beautiful reminder of our need to remember that we are not alone. Thank you.
