I didn’t know how divinely orchestrated this particular meeting was until after I started writing this post. I was at the post office preparing to mail off a gift that l’d purchased ten years ago for a friend. At the time that I purchased the gift, I couldn’t even afford to mail it. As time went on, I was embarrassed that it would arrive so late, so I never sent it. Then I put it up and forgot about it; until I recently declutterred. Hence my reason for being at the post office.
Me being me, I was all up in this lady’s package trying to see what she was mailing off. I noticed the cover of the book and thought it looked nice. Me still being me, I started flipping through the pages BEFORE I asked her if I could look at the book. She graciously said that she didn’t mind my looking. I asked her if she was the author: she was. You know from that point on, my mindset was “sow into her”. We communicated about any available books she had with her, the price and payment methods.

After we both handled our reasons for being at the post office, we took the conversation outside and learned some valuable information about one another. I couldn’t let her leave without a picture. She also told me that she does Spoken Word night at a venue in our city.
Kiara, thank you for being there and allowing me the opportunity to see just how God has restored me from brokenness to wholeness: financially.
On the same day that I mailed a ten year old gift to my friend, I was able to sow into a woman whose heart revealed to me her trust in God as well.
