Stroke Level

This is me, sitting at the park downtown. I’d just completed my warmup walk around the park and now I’m waiting for my line dance class to start in forty-five minutes. This is also me on the day that I had a Telemed call with my Primary Care doctor and she informed me that two weeks ago at my visit, my blood pressure was near Stroke Level.

At that visit, my blood pressure was higher than I’ve ever seen it in ALL the years I’ve been going to the doctor. She and her PA continuously tested my BP and it only came down some: but enough for US to continue with my desire to try natural remedies, rather than being placed on medication. She had recommended two things for me to try and she wanted to know if I’d gotten them. I hadn’t. But to hear her say Stroke Level lit a fire within me to act upon her suggestions.

But first… ok, maybe first and a half, I prayed. While I walked around the park, I talked to God about what the doctor talked about to me. I asked Him what was my plan of action. He gave me four words: Abide, Rest, Believe and Receive. This doctor was an answer to my prayer for a doctor that listened to my needs and was willing to help me reach my desired results for optimal health. I said first and a half because right after I ended the call with my doctor, I reached out to the person that sold one of the products she recommended.

Class tonight was motivating and just what I needed to clear my head of the negative thoughts that had been running through my mind since the call with the doctor. There was even a family reunion taking place at the park and I went over to the lone introvert and introduced myself to her. I said, “Hi, I’m Tracy and I can tell that you are the introvert in the family”. We talked until my class started.
