God Always Provides

After hearing a few people give testimonies about how God always provided in their lives, I thought I’d share my God always provide testimony from when I didn’t know Him like I do now: but He always provided for me anyway.

The four pack cookies in the picture are a representation for the six pack cookies I used to eat when I was in college. I know you may be thinking “what’s wrong with eating cookies?” Nothing! It’s just that when I was in college I remember a time when things were so hard money-wise for me that a six pack of cookies were my meals: 2 for breakfast, 2 for lunch and 2 for dinner.

If it wasn’t for my friends receiving care packages from home, giving me some of their food when they went out to eat or even that one guy that I knew who would use his “hookup” to bring me a meal, things may have been even worse for me. What about the cafeteria you ask? How long do you think those meals keep you full when you have to walk the yard from class to class?

As I reflect back over that time, some of the hardship was self inflicted: mostly because I didn’t let anyone know that I was in need. Just because I didn’t have help from my family didn’t mean that I couldn’t ask for help from others. As a result of having gone through those tough times of not having enough to eat, I don’t “monitor” what someone is putting on their plates or wanting to take home for later. If I’ve invited you to a meal, I expect you to eat as much as you want.
