“How can you not know which way to go?” asked Wayne. “Haven’t you lived here most of your life?” “Yes.” replied Jade. “But it’s been so long since I’ve visited the old neighborhood and some things have changed.
Let me let you in on a little Secret. This Short Story was to originally be a continuation of the last story: My Mother. I wanted these to be stand alone stories that grew from the last story. Where the characters were connected in some way. However, in my own life, Secrets were revealed that totally tested my ability to believe that people in my life would be honest with me.
I lost the desire to complete this short story and I kept putting it off until it’s the week before I’m due to post it. The opening paragraph is ALL I have of this Secret and I’m not inspired to write more. I really don’t know what Jade and Wayne are up to and I’m not inclined to “make something up”.
I don’t want to let down those of you who are and have told me how much you enjoy the stories. But I can’t force myself any longer to come up with a story that doesn’t freely flow from my creativity. I’ve been slow with coming up with a story before. But this is the first time where I haven’t wanted to write one. Tears…
That being said, I’ve asked a local artist if she would help me out for a season. She has agreed and as soon as we work out the logistics, you will be hearing from her very soon. Thank you all for understanding that in order for me to serve you, I have to take care of myself first. There will be no SECRETS between us.
