“Thanks for a lovely evening, John” said Eve as he walked her to her apartment door. “Yes, tonight was fun. And the restaurant you chose had some of the best seafood I’ve ever tasted” replied John. “The food was delicious. I’d heard about that place from my mother who seemed to enjoy the meal she had when she and some girlfriends went there for girls night” stated Eve. “How about I give you a call in a couple of days and see if we can get together since time next week?” asked John. “Yes, that will be fine with me. I’ll look forward to your call” said Eve.
A month later. “Are things getting serious between you and John yet?” asked Trease. “No, things aren’t moving as fast as I would like them. But we decided to take our time to get to know one another better before getting too serious” supplied Eve. “You must really not like this guy. I’ve never known you to take this long to get a commitment from a man” remarked Trease. “Hmm, you really think so?” queried Eve. “Yes, there has to be something about him that’s keeping you from taking the relationship further” supplied Trease
“Actually, John told me that a couple of years ago he was involved with someone and things got real serious real fast. That they were pretty much inseparable and they had great chemistry between them” stated Eve. “Well, what happened to end the relationship? asked Trease. “John said that she ended the relationship. She told him that he didn’t need to be tied down to a woman who couldn’t give him the thing he would ultimately want one day in life: a family of his own” said Eve.
