“Hey Angel, let me take this call that was just transferred to my line. Yes, this is Dana, how may I help you?” “Hi Dana, my name is Nigel and I’m not certain if Angel has told you about me” started Nigel. “Yes, she has mentioned you” hesitated Dana. “Good, then I won’t have to spend so much time trying to prove to you that I’m not some crazy guy. I’d like to have lunch delivered to Angel but I’m not sure what she’s in the mood for today. I was wondering if I could get you to help me find out so that I can have something delivered” supplied Nigel. “Well, it just so happens that Angel and I were just talking about where we’d like to go for lunch and she stated that she wants Mediterranean, which is her favorite” said Dana. “That’s good to know. I’ll just need the restaurant’s name and her favorite dish. Also, what should I order for you as well?” said Nigel.
“Sorry that I’m running late for lunch Dana. If you want to, just go and get something and we’ll try to do lunch together tomorrow, I’ll grab something from vending later” Angel texted as she was still in the meeting. “No, I’ll wait for you. I don’t mind taking a later lunch” came Dana’s reply. “Ok, as soon as we’re done, I want that Greek salad I’ve been thinking about since we discussed lunch this morning” came Angel’s reply. “I’m sure you’ll get it” came Dana’s cryptic response. An hour later. “I’m sorry to have kept you waiting for lunch Dana, so it’s on me today” said Angel. “That’s nice of you but not necessary. Come with me” stated Dana.
Heading to the smaller office break room, Dana opened the door and allowed Angel to enter. Upon entering, Angel saw a feast laden table full of her favorite dishes from the Mediterranean restaurant she enjoys. “What is all of this?” asked Angel. “The lunch you desired along with a few extras, as well as the lunch I desired compliments of one very smitten young man who wanted to make your day” answered Dana. “Are you saying that Nigel brought all of this food here” queried Angel. “Girl no, he had it delivered. You remember the call that was transferred to me this morning? It was him calling. When you texted that your meeting was going to run late, I called him back to cancel but all of this showed up instead” supplied Dana. “I can’t believe he did all of this. But all of this is PERFECT!” said Angel, with the biggest smile on her face.
