Perfect – Part 2

“What’s your idea of a perfect date?” Nigel asked Angel. “Hmmm, let me think” Angel said while looking down trying to remember the last time she’d even been out on a date. “I’d have to say an intimate dinner, prepared by him, of course. Featuring the biggest slice of apple pie a la mode for dessert. All wrapped in engaging conversation where we get to know each other on a deeper and emotional level” said Angel. “Why do you ask?” she wanted to know.

“Just wanted to know what you would say yes to when I asked if you would go out with me this coming Friday night. Will you?” asked Nigel. Releasing a small breath while clutching her pearls, Angel stared at Nigel. “I want to say yes but I don’t know if you can cook” teased Angel. Laughing, Nigel said, “since you said the food had to be prepared by your date, then I guess you’ll have to get the best I can do”. “With that response, I still don’t know if I should say yes” teased Angel.

“Everything was delicious Nigel. You have shocked me with your culinary skills” remarked Angel. “Smiling, Nigel stated, “my mom raised three growing boys. She told us early on that if we planned to eat her out of a house and home then we at least needed to learn how to cook; especially if she had to do the grocery shopping.” “Thank God for your mom because everything was Perfect” said Angel.
