Toxic – Part 3

“I can’t believe I allowed it to get to this point” stated Diana. “I’m ashamed that you are seeing me like this” she continued. “We are friends first” declared Melody. “I hate that this happened to you too. But I’m glad that I’m the one who gets to take care of you. I know you may not be ready to hear this right now, but I know of several agencies and counselors that I can put you in contact with so that you can get additional help processing what you’ve been through” supplied Melody.

“It’s so good to be home. I’m just glad that I decided to take myself to the hospital when I did. The doctor stated that infection could have set up in my chest due to the fractured rib. I had difficulty breathing but I thought it was due to all the crying I’d been doing. I’m so glad you were there to take care of me Melody. I cherish our friendship” said Diana. “You know I’m always here for you. The same way you’ve been there for me. Especially after I have a difficult patient at the Abuse Center” stated Melody.

“Yes, I will be getting the restraining order against Eric for domestic violence. The counselor has really helped me process the emotions within me that allowed me to stay with him even though I knew the relationship was Toxic. I’m just glad that I lived to get out. There are so many other women who have lost their lives because they couldn’t or wouldn’t leave. I’m glad my story didn’t end that way” declared Diana.
