“Girl, I don’t think you have to rush. Just take your time and get to know him better. If you think he’s moving too fast, then let him know. He’s not the only one in this relationship” stated Melody. “I’ve said something to him before but he keeps saying how perfect we are for each other” chimed in Diana. “I know you get defensive when I point out red flags to you but honey, this flag is RED!” declared Melody. “There you go again, you and your drama about toxic relationships” stated Diana.
“My friend and I talked and we both agree that maybe you and I are moving a little too fast” started Diana. “Why are you even talking to your friend about me? She doesn’t have a man and she doesn’t want you to have one either. If you keep bringing up her insecurities to me about how she thinks we ought to conduct our relationship, then maybe you’re not the woman for me” suggested Eric. “Can’t we just talk about taking things a little slower?” asked Diana. “No!” shouted Eric.
“So, is he punishing you this weekend by hanging out with the fellas even though you told me that you two were supposed to go out of town?” asked Melody. “I told him that I wanted a separate room and he said that he wasn’t paying for two rooms. If I wanted to pay for my own room then I was welcome too.” supplied Diana. “You have money, so why didn’t you get a room for yourself?” queried Melody. “Because, I would mostly be in his room and I’m not spending my money on a room that I wouldn’t sleep in” said Diana. “Oh, so you two are sleeping together now?” asked Melody. Sounding defeated, Diana said, “There you go, I’m trying to get you to see that I’m trying to do right and all you can see is what we’ve already done wrong.”
