Reversed – Part 2

“Thanks Nolan for coming over to help me out” said Violet. “I’ll have to make it up to you for having to reschedule your date time for tonight. Who is this woman anyway?” “Not anyone you know. So, you can’t go and tell your friend who I’m dating” supplied Nolan. “Things are still new between us and I don’t need any drama from my past getting mixed in with the future I’m creating with…”. “I won’t say a word… to anybody” interrupted Violet. “I’m just glad that you are happy and moving on with your life”.

“So, are you saying that you and Violet were on a date this weekend?” asked Glen. “No, I never said that. You keep implying that we were because I told you that I saw her this weekend. If you are interested in her, say something. Don’t keep trying to get information from me about her. She’s a grown woman who can speak for herself” declared Nolan. “I know that she’s a grown woman. I just thought you two were in or had been in a relationship” said Glen. “That’s what I’m talking about right there. If you want to know more about Violet, ask Violet. Not me!” replied Nolan.

“No, I’m sure he’s not. You must be wrong. Glen only talks business with me. He’s not interested in me” Violet said. “You two really need to sit down and talk. He’s asking me about you and you are denying wanting to be with him. I’m just trying to stay clear of the both of you. But neither of you will leave me alone” insisted Nolan. “What do you mean he’s asking you about me?” asked Violet. “Every time I’m in his presence, he brings you up. He even asked if we’re in a relationship. Please, promise me you will talk to him” said Nolan. “Shouldn’t he come to me first if he’s interested in me?” asked Violet.
