What had happened was… it was early morning after I’d worked a 12-hour night shift. To come home early morning and while preparing for bed, I received a message from who I thought was a good man I’d met through online dating. Only to find out that this person was trying to scam me. So, having been up all night, tired as I could be and only wanting to go to sleep, I couldn’t. I had to get control of the situation.
I couldn’t let WHOMEVER I had been corresponding with take my words (you’ve been reading them for a while now so you know how affecting they can be) and use them on another unsuspecting person trying to make a connection on the internet. What if someone fell for the lies that I almost fell for?
In my haste to “oust the scammer” – and possibly from lack of sleep, I immediately googled how to start a blog. Once I found out, I just started writing. I had no outline or conscious thought about what I would write. The very Firstpost somehow was me starting from the beginning of this Journey because I had a Story to tell and I planned to tell it my way – that’s when My Journey, My Story was created.
My Journey is not your Story. Only you can tell your Story.
