Happy New Year! It’s 2023 and I’m excited about it. This year promises to be filled with many more revelations from my Journey in life. Today, however, I learned a profound truth about the price Jesus paid for us on the cross that allows us to walk in freedom. Sure, I knew that we are forgiven because of His sacrifice but the freedom part, that revelation just made me want to run, cry and shout all at once.
Let me tell you what happened right before I got the revelation. We were given the option of not wearing a mask to church instead of it continuing to be mandated. The first Sunday morning that this option was available, I had no peace about it. So I prayed and the Spirit of God revealed that I should wear my mask. So, I did. However, He also showed me that if I had NOT worn my mask only because others would be there without a mask on and that I didn’t want to appear as if I was going against what everyone else was doing, then I wouldn’t be in Faith. My decision to wear or not to wear a mask should be based on my conviction and Faith in God: nothing else.
This new year is already shaping up to be a year of continued authenticity as I grow in the full knowledge and revelation of not only walking in the Forgiveness that Jesus paid the price for but also walking in the Freedom that’s a part of God’s plan as well. I pray that you too experience the level of Freedom in your life that is guided by your Faith in God – according to His will, purpose and plan that He has for you.
