“Where’s Peter?” asked Sarah’s friend as they talked on the phone. “I told you this was the day he was spending with his Dad while his sister and Mom were hanging out together” stated Sarah. “That’s right, I forgot. Sure wish my family was as close as he and his family are. You are so lucky to have found a man who not only takes care of his family but loves his parents too” Joan said. “Yes, I truly am Loved” sighed Sarah. “I appreciate the fact that he and his sister still embrace quality time with their aging parents even though they are both married now. Which gives me and his sister’s husband some alone time of our own to do what we want” remarked Sarah. “Don’t make me apologize again for canceling on you today. I thought my man would keep his word this time and he and I would be together; having fun like you and Peter have planned for tonight” commented Joan.
“Well, since I was home pampering myself today, I decided to put together a couple of sides and a salad to go with the steaks Peter plans to put on the grill tonight. We are also having a movie date night on the back patio” explained Sarah. “You sure I can’t come over?” whined Joan. “Positive! We are making a baby tonight and three is a crowd” said Sarah. “Are you sure you’re ready to go through that again” Joan asked. “Now you are sounding like Peter. I know I fell into depression last time. But I just knew that I was pregnant. And when it turned out that I wasn’t, I was devastated” commented Sarah. “All I know is that if I had a man that loves me the way Peter loves you, I wouldn’t spend all my time on the one thing that I couldn’t give him right now. I’d concentrate on the many blessings we are experiencing as a couple” stated Joan.
“That steak was delicious Babe” said Sarah. “Thanks. You know you didn’t have to do anything. I told you I’d take care of everything when I came from visiting Dad” remarked Peter. “It’s ok. I had the time because Joan canceled on me, again. You know it was because her man canceled on her last minute, again. Besides, this way we have more time for… later” teased Sarah. “About later, can we talk?” asked Peter. “Sure, are you feeling ok? Nothing is wrong with your Dad, is it?” asked Sarah. “No, Dad is fine. I want to talk with you about how I’m feeling about us not being able to conceive” said Peter.
