
My health has always been important to me. Even more so now that we are (still) in a Pandemic. I may not be at the weight goal that I desire; but I’m reaching toward it. That being said, I only need people on my team who will encourage me to stay focused on healthy eating habits. No more staying in the dark about the kind of foods that I eat irregardless of how it affects my body, how good it tastes or even if someone bought it for me to eat.
I once thought that the MVP on my team would most likely be my Doctor. However, I’ve come to realize that the MVP on my team is actually ME! That’s right, no one else is responsible for ME being healthy. They can only offer input. But I’m the one who actually has to do the work in order to walk in optimal Health. I had to take the initiative to find out the kind of foods that nourished MY body. The foods that gave me energy instead of draining me for the rest of the day. Even discovering the foods that I eventually found that I would learn to like even though I’d never eaten them before in my life.

Now that I know what foods affect my body negatively and how others affect my body overall, I make a conscious effort to meal prep and have healthy alternatives available for those times when everyday life becomes too hectic for me. It’s easy to fall back into unhealthy eating habits when you’re pressed for time.
