“That’s the way it’s always been done” is the worst statement to ever be made. Especially in this Information Age in which we live. More importantly during these unprecedented times we are experiencing. And equally important on a job where flexibility for your staff should be valued more than old systems and outdated regimes of how things were done in the past.
Just because it worked THEN… but now the people who are tasked with taking your business to the next level are undervalued and forced to cleave to outdated policies and procedures, no wonder many are quitting their jobs and starting careers that bring them fulfillment. This brings me to my topic: Mindset. I had to renew my mind to the way I’ve been doing things in order to experience the positive Change I so desperately needed which would ultimately usher me into my Better Days.
I won’t go all the way back but I will go back to the year 2017. You can read about my experience here: https://m924life.blogspot.com/2018/01/. From that point on, I had to make up in my mind if I was going to do what needed to be done in order to have a better life or continue to do things “the way they have always been done” and keep getting the same negative results. And since you are currently reading the words that I wrote, that means that I chose to find a better, safer and even Enjoyable route to get me where I am now.
I can honestly say that it all started with me renewing my mind in whatever area I was experiencing any challenges. Not to date myself, but I no longer think “I’ll never be on the Internet because I don’t know what’s out there”. Well, I’m out here now and I still don’t know what all is out here with me. But because I chose to reevaluate my stance on Internet usage, I’m learning ways to connect with others that I’ll probably never meet in life. But in some way or other, I can touch their lives by the words that I share that can inspire or encourage them in their Journey.
Today, I challenge you to check your Mindset in ONE area of your life that you’d like to see a positive change. Read books about the subject. Talk to others who you know have experienced success in that area. Then take your research with you in prayer to God and ask Him to show you how to navigate the path He has prepared for you in that area. I’d love to hear of your Journey.
