I started blogging back in 2014 as the result of having been scammed on a dating site. Guess what I did yesterday? I joined another dating site. What? Am I crazy? Do I even know what I’m doing? Why now? Guess I’ll soon find out.
Am I crazy? No, I’m not. But not even twenty-four hours on the site and I’m ready to delete my profile. Not because anything has happened. Just because… maybe I expected things to be different and they are not. Already, I’ve been told “I hope you find what you’re looking for”. After I wouldn’t give in to his demand in his Second text.
Do I even know what I’m doing? The fact that I’m ok with his brush off clearly shows that I know what I’m doing. This time around, I know what I want as well as what I don’t want. And a person who’s not willing to find common ground by a second text is definitely on my DO NOT want list.
So, why now? As my profile update shows, not only am I open to trying online dating again, I’m willing to be On Complete Display to get what I want: a dating relationship. That means saying No to the One who pushes for more than I’m willing to give. While believing for the One who is willing to give even more than I ask.
