Unity – Part 3

“So Brian, did I do good or what?” asked Yolanda. “Definitely or what” laughed Brian. “You bringing this emotionally charged woman into my life to test every piece of patience I thought I had, proved to be exactly the kind of woman and relationship I needed in my life. Thank you!” Smiling, Yolanda said, “I knew you were the one to help my friend navigate through her feelings of helplessness when she encountered emotional struggles that seemed to overwhelm her. Thank you for looking past the color barrier that keep so many people navigating life alone.

Most people give up after the first date if they don’t instantly hit it off. I wanted you two to have an opportunity for a do-over because I know how the both of you are. Even though you both thought being together would not be beneficial for your lives, neither of you were willing to accept defeat after only one date. I know that when given the opportunity to help, you both jump in ready to do whatever it takes to make the situation better. I just needed you to see that in each other rather than looking at what color you were. Getting you two together was the easy part. Staying together took courage from the both of you to look past the outward differences in order to find the true treasures on the inside of you.”

Knowing that Yolanda was right, Brian decided to let her know that he and Truth had something in store for her as well. “I can’t believe I’m doing this” stated Yolanda. “Why not?” asked Truth. “Because, I don’t get matched up, I match people up declared Yolanda. “Well, Ms. Matchmaker, I’d like for you to meet Spencer” said Brian as he entered the room with a strikingly handsome grey-eyed, well built man at his side. “Oh my!” was all that Yolanda could think to say. Looking at each other, Brian and Truth knew that this match had definite possibilities of being a success because Yolanda never showed her feelings when dealing with men. They both realized that Unity could be reached One relationship at a time.
