Recover All

The gold breast cancer pin backing in the photo was lost in October as a coworker and I went to a nearby building while on break. I discovered it’s loss when the actual pin fell from my jacket a while later, however, I never found the backing. Fast forward over a month later. I walk into the bathroom in the building I work at after a long holiday weekend and low and behold I see something laying on the table: the backing to my pin! I quickly picked it up and sure enough, I see my initials on it. Recover All.

This post was supposed to be about how God moved in my life, however, as I sit to finish writing it, it has evolved into a post about how God moves in ALL of our lives; because we are all joined together by a common thread during this season. And I’ve just come to terms with my involvement in this Entanglement we call a Pandemic. No One is exempt from having to do their part – no matter how small they may think it is (hint: wearing a mask). Because what one person/entity/organization does effects so many others if that person/entity/organization is not committed to following through with what they say they will do.

Many of us are looking to others to help us during these uncertain times and are being let down because the promised support hasn’t arrived. Which has caused some to say “I ain’t doing nothing else!” Yes, those were even my words spoken just yesterday. But I know in my heart that I was talking out of frustration at seeing others not doing their part and creating more uncertainty in the hearts of the people. But my desire is to see people get the help they really need. Because not everyone knows who to talk to or what to say even if given the chance to speak.

That’s when God stepped in and showed me the parallel of my initial flow of this post to what I’m saying now. We will Recover All that we’ve lost over this past year of the Pandemic. It doesn’t matter how much time has elapsed since we lost “it”. We will Recover All that God has in store for us: as His People, a Nation and the World. Trust Him to reveal to you the way that has already been prepared for you to receive all you need when you need it.
